Why Civility, and why now? That should be obvious to anyone, but then, why doesn’t it appear to be the case when we listen to the news, dip our toe into the social media waters, or simply engage with friends, family, neighbors, or strangers. What happened, when, and how did we collectively fall off the cliff, like some semi-sentient lemmings stumbling into the abyss. I certainly don’t have the answers, and am pretty certain no one does, though there are plenty of theories found in books, studies, articles, and all throughout the electronic sphere. I aim to try to make some sense of this for me, and will use this platform to share my journey, my random thoughts, and the thoughts of other like-minded souls. For anyone who chooses to land here and read along, I ask for your forbearance as I am neither a professional writer nor researcher, just a human, not so unlike you, trying to make sense of our collective journey, and maybe make it just a bit better.
